I don't think people understand the trauma that being on the receiving end of hate creates. It is something you have to live with, process, and survive. I wake up every day and gird my loins to go out and meet my day with a smile knowing that some of the people I meet will greet me with hate merely because of my skin. It colors my day, all my interactions with people especially because you are also not allowed to express the pain you feel at this unjust experience. The high suicide rate of minorities and a lot of the destructive behavior seen in socioeconomically disadvantaged populations is because of this enduring despair… despair so acutely felt by this poor man who did not have time to process the feelings and sadly took his life. In this time of rhetoric that doesn’t take into account our shared human experience, we need to understand this. I don’t hate Trump, I hate what he did to America. We weren’t perfect, but at least we were trying..and if the hell he created served a purpose, it might be forgivable, but at the end of the day, the question we must ask is does the hatred he stirred up really MAGA???
He may survive impeachment, God knows he’s bulletproof and has survived every criminal and vile behavior. The issue isn't Trump, but every petty warlord wanna-be who comes after. What he has done is weaken the fabric of the protections that we had against the excesses of powerful men behaving badly and the ripples of that will be felt long after he is a footnote in history. Eg Musk just flew and blew up his test shuttle bcoz he wanted to launch and the regulators said no, the safety rules were not adequate. He launched anyway and the shuttle blew up. Now he may not care, for him, it's only $$, what about when your sons and husbands are flying that shuttle…and they don’t come home. Powerful rich men are psychopaths..that is ok. It is why they do well in business and we need them…we also need the rule makers to keep them in check. Your Republican senators will back Trump because they are all from the same stock and he just unyoked them from having to play by the rules…ultimately, they don’t suffer but the small guys will. As an example, who is going to jail and staying on jail? Manafort is out, Stone is out…which of the Proud Boys will be escaping jail, will the podium stealer?? These are the rights being given away while we support the causes cynical rich men would have you believe matter to them. Condolences to a widowed woman and the fatherless children left behind for needless pain visited on a proud American by a crook. Condolences to America.
